1. What The Honors is
The Honors is a golf scoring and game tracking tool. It calculates scoring outcomes and indicative amounts owed based on scores you enter. It does not process, hold, or transfer money. All settlements happen independently between players. The Honors may provide links or tools that allow users to make voluntary charitable donations through Every.org to nonprofits of their choice.
2. Accuracy
Payouts shown are calculated from scores entered by users and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or software defects. Users are responsible for independently verifying all scores, calculations, settlement amounts, and other information displayed in the app before making or accepting any payment. The Honors is not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect score entry, software malfunctions, calculation errors, or reliance on information displayed in the app.
3. Recreational use
The Honors is intended for social, recreational use among friends in private settings. You are responsible for complying with applicable laws in your jurisdiction. You may not use The Honors where such use would be unlawful, including laws governing social wagering or games of skill involving stakes.
4. Not a gambling service
The Honors does not facilitate, host, operate, sponsor, organize, administer, or process gambling or wagers of any kind. The Honors does not determine wager terms, collect entry fees, hold funds, distribute winnings, act as an escrow agent, or participate in any gambling activity. The app only tracks scores and displays informational calculations based on user-entered data. Any wagers between players are private arrangements made entirely outside the app. The Honors has no involvement in, and accepts no responsibility for, any such arrangements. Players are responsible for their own compliance with applicable laws.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to reverse-engineer or disrupt it, use it to harass other users, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
6. Age
You must be 18 or older to use The Honors. By creating or joining a round, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age. If you are under 18, you may not use the app.
7. Charity donations
Charitable donations are processed exclusively by Every.org, an independent registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit intermediary. The Honors does not solicit, collect, hold, transfer, process, or guarantee any donation funds. Donations are voluntary, non-refundable, and subject to Every.org's own terms, policies, and procedures. The Honors is not affiliated with, and is not responsible for, the actions, services, fundraising activities, donation processing, tax treatment, or policies of Every.org or any recipient charity. The Honors makes no representation regarding the tax deductibility, effectiveness, use, or receipt of any donation.
8. No warranties
The Honors is provided "as-is" and "as available." We make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Honors and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to disputes over scores, payouts, or wagers between players, failed or disputed charitable donations, or losses resulting from reliance on score or payout calculations displayed in the app. Also to the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability of The Honors and its operators for any claim arising out of or relating to your use of the app shall not exceed fifty U.S. dollars ($50).
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. The parties agree that exclusive jurisdiction and venue shall lie in the state and federal courts located in Denver County, Colorado.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless The Honors and its owners, operators, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, judgments, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the app, your violation of these Terms, your interactions or disputes with other users in connection with the app, any wagers or payment arrangements between users, or your violation of any applicable law.
12. Changes
We may modify or discontinue the app and may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the app after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those updated Terms.
13. Privacy Policy
Your use of The Honors is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference. Please review it at /privacy.
