We process information as necessary to provide, maintain, and improve the app, ensure its security and functionality, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. How we store it
Round data (scores, players, donations) is stored in our hosted database (Supabase) and round records expire 2 days after creation. We do not currently offer user accounts — all data is tied to round codes and device storage only. We do not access data stored in localStorage on your device. Local round history, player tokens, and preferences are stored in your device's browser storage (including localStorage) and remain on your device until deleted by you, your browser, or your device settings. Certain technical logs, backup data, or security records may persist for longer periods where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or system administration.
4. International Transfers
Your information may be processed, stored, and transferred in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. By using The Honors, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries that may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction, subject to applicable legal requirements.
5. Third parties
- Supabase — database and real-time sync
- Every.org — charity donation processing
- GolfCourseAPI — course data lookup (your search queries are sent to their API; no personal information is included)
These providers act as our service providers and process data on our behalf where applicable. Each processes information according to its own privacy policies and terms. We do not use advertising networks and do not sell data to third parties.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls on our database. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted to or stored by the app.
7. Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing us (see Contact below). We will aim to acknowledge your request within 10 business days and complete any deletion within 30 days where reasonably practicable. We may request additional information necessary to verify your identity and locate the data associated with your request. If you are located in the EU, UK, or California, you may have additional rights under applicable law (GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA), including the right to data portability and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.
8. Children
We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app following the effective date of an updated policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
